Mega Monday, The Times Are Changing Drastically!!

We at Mobile Media Savvy are looking forward to Christmas as I imagine most people are though it is still November so not quite in the Christmas spirit yet.

This is not stopping what the media are calling 'Mega Monday', today (28/11) is supposed to be the busiest day of the year with Christmas shopping transactions so much so that there will be reportedly 3300 transactions a minute with the peak times being 1pm and 7pm totaling over 300million in sales.

Online sales will be up to 25% which is an increase of 16% on last year as well as this Christmas being the first significant mobile Christmas with 12% of transactions being placed through a smartphone, this will only increase year on year.

These stats accurately show that mobile is having a telling effect on consumers and how they are wanting to interact with brands through their mobile devices. The 12% of transactions is only the tip of the iceberg as alot of consumers will be using their smartphones to gain more information of both offline and online sales while they are on the go.

If you would like to know how to best communicate with your consumers via their mobile device, then do get in touch with us at Mobile Media Savvy

B2B Mobile Marketing Tips

We at Mobile Media Savvy believe that the B2B businesses can benefit from mobile marketing as much as the B2C businesses this is because of the fact that all business professionals are attached to one item when they are working and that is their mobile phone.

The way in which B2B businesses can use the products and services of mobile marketing are much the same as the principles of the B2C market.

SMS's can be used to inform your customers of up and coming subscription renewal dates such as in the insurance industry.

QR codes would be useful to blur the line between online and offline marketing if your current marketing campaign consists of offline material such as flyers or brochures.

Social media can be used to integrate with your current traditional marketing campaigns as well as attract people to follow or like you once they are in possession of a mobile marketing piece of material.

Mobile websites can help in the B2B market as if you are meeting someone they could be doing some last minute research on your business and if it's optimised for a mobile phone then your business looks very professional and with the times.

Video & Podcasts are another great tool of mobile marketing in that you can voice your opinions and expertise in front of your clients and potential clients can find out about you aswell as know that your business has a real face behind it.

This is only the tip of the iceberg and the opportunities for mobile marketing in the B2B market are endless

Tips For Mobile Marketing For Nightclub/Bar

5 TIPS TO GET MORE CUSTOMERS INTO YOUR NIGHTCLUB/BAR     USING MOBILE MARKETING

I personally am of age that I can attend a nightclub or bar and know how difficult it is to choose a nightclub/bar that will give my group of friends and myself the best night out possible. When trying to entice the current mobile generation of today into your nightclub/bar you have to get in contact with them through their mobile devices as it the mobile generations most personal item. There are various ways to do this such as:

1. SMS Messaging
SMS messaging has been around for a while but hasn’t been properly executed on mass until now. Example: You are running a night and would like to get the word out, you simply set up an opt-in campaign to gather peoples mobile numbers with an incentive attached. Through this action you now have mobile numbers that you can promote your events to whenever you want as well as other promotions.

2. Mobile Websites
Mobile websites are great addition as nowadays the mobile generation (18-30) can now search for anything while they are on the move. Example: A group of ladies are just finishing their cocktails at a nearby bar and are wondering where to head after they have finished their drinks, if you had a suitable mobile website that meant people did not have to zoom in and out then they are more likely to check out the website and make a decision by either calling up your club or bar to make reservations.

3. QR Codes
QR Codes are necessary nowadays as it creates a gateway between real and digital life and is great for communicating a message to prospective customers. Example: Your PR team were handing out flyers for your nightclub/bar and on the flyers there was a QR code, this would enable you to send a more detailed message than what you could supply on a flyer. This in turn would enable potential customers to learn more about you bar/nightclub without having to put much effort in.

4. Integrate Social Media
Social media is as much a necessity as mobile marketing in this current time. Social media though is more for cementing long term relationships with your customers and potential customers. Integrate it with mobile marketing and you have a marketing campaign that will be ahead of the times. Example: You are running a promotion on your social media pages but people aren’t seeing the offers as you are posting it at awkward times or when the world of facebook and twitter are busy and its not staying at the top of news feeds for long. This is when mobile marketing comes into its own as you can target people immediately and get your message out to a wider audience.

5. Location Based Marketing
Location based marketing is at it’s infancy right now and if you get in there and utilise it from the start the return on your investment will be outstanding. Example: People are out and about wondering where to go and when they go past your establishment they recieve offers so undoubtedly they will at least come and check it out because no-one can refuse an offer that has been put right in front of their eyes via their mobile phones.

The opportunities are endless, get in contact through mobilemediasavvy.com if you would like more information and what your nightclub/bar standing out from the rest!!

PETE CASHMORE I RESPECT YOU

Pete Cashmore is an inspiration to me as he is a young man making a living by doing something he enjoys and is passionate about as I am passionate about mobile marketing. He made this life possible through founding and continually growing Mashable which is a key player when it comes to social, mobile and technical news and I would love to emulate his success. More importantly though he is Scottish which I can imagine helped him when networking and having meetings in America as we all know the Scottish accent is loved by all over the pond.

When I saw the article in the New York Times about him and how he has gone from a north east town(Banchory) in Scotland to living the high life in New York, I was very pleased for him aswell as setting my own ambitions on where I want to get to. I would love to create some mobile marketing campaigns in New York but in the mean time get in touch with us at Mobile Media Savvy and we can see what we can do for you.

I guess all you can do is Dream Big!!!
